Chiaroscuro brings together a series of interpretations in which the same voice splits into two registers, both transposed an octave lower, giving rise to a dual timbral reading: intimate and luminous on one side, deeper and more allusive on the other.

As one listener puts it, it is "the sophisticated or bolder seduction of the same voice… two shades of the same flower": a play of vocal light and shadow that transforms each piece into a variation of identity and atmosphere.
